Join us for a profound and enlightening evening presented by HBCUvc and Céleste Studios with "Voice of Our Ancestors," a virtual film screening and discussion that delves into the historical and contemporary struggles for racial equity and justice.

"Voice of Our Ancestors" explores the harrowing legacy of the Tulsa Massacre, one of the nation's most devastating acts of racial violence. The film bridges this past atrocity with the current state of venture capital, highlighting the continued fight against systemic racism and the obstacles that up-and-coming Black entrepreneurs and investors encounter in entering and thriving in the industry.

The screening, hosted on Zoom webinar, will be followed by a panel discussion featuring:

  • Cameron Blount, filmmaker and HBCUvc Fellow

  • Vondell Burns; founder, mentor, and director of communications and marketing at Atento Capital

  • Kode Ransom; entrepreneur, musician, historian and North Tulsa native
