This workshop is designed for current graduate students or recent university alumni with at least 2 years of professional experience. Participants can expect to receive an overview of the venture capital ecosystem and actionable steps on how to navigate the VC ecosystem post-workshop.
This is also a unique opportunity to meet the HBCUvc team and learn more about their VC Fellowship which includes a paid full-time internship in venture capital.
About the Instructor
Hadiyah Mujhid is the CEO and Founder of HBCUvc, a nonprofit dedicated to changing how investment capital is formed and allocated to benefit historically underestimated groups. She has experience as a tech founder, software engineer, and angel investors and is obsessed with leveraging technology entrepreneurship for economic inclusion. She is also an Echoing Green and Praxis Fellow. Hadiyah earned her MBA from Drexel University and holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, an HBCU.
